Privacy
Toss, scoring, match-history and preference data are stored locally on your iPhone. If you request ground weather, current coordinates are sent directly to Open-Meteo to return the forecast; Bat or Bowl does not store those coordinates.
Information handled by the app
- Toss choices, scoring, match history and preferences stored locally
- Precise location sent to Open-Meteo only when you request ground weather
- No account, advertising profile, analytics or tracking identifier
Apple and external services
- Open-Meteo: Receives the forecast coordinates and technical request information. Its free API terms allow non-commercial use and its server logs may contain IP addresses and coordinates for up to 90 days.
Bat or Bowl does not sell personal information, create an advertising profile or include a third-party advertising or behavioural-analytics SDK.
Retention & deletion
How long information remains
- Local match records and settings remain until you delete them, erase app data or remove the app.
- Bat or Bowl does not retain your requested weather location. Open-Meteo states that relevant API log files are deleted after 90 days.
Your controls
- Delete match records in the app, use its erase controls where available, or remove the app to delete its local container.
- Withdraw location access in Apple Settings; the toss and scoring features continue to work without it.
Permissions
A permission is requested only when you use the related feature. You can review or withdraw access in Apple Settings.
- Location while using the app, requested only for optional ground weather
- The toss, decision and scoring features do not require contacts, photos, camera or microphone access
Safety & limits
- Weather is general match-day information only. Do not use it as an official safety, lightning, medical or ground-playability decision.
- The Open-Meteo free endpoint must not be used if the app becomes paid, advert-supported or otherwise commercial without an appropriate commercial licence or replacement service.
Support
- Use the latest available version from the App Store.
- If a saved setting appears wrong, close and reopen the app.
- Include your iPhone model and iOS version when contacting support.
