01

Privacy

Your equipment catalogue and attachments are stored locally in the app. A small summary is shared with the on-device widget through an Apple app group. Backups or exports leave the app only when you choose where to save or share them.

Information handled by the app

  • Equipment details, serial numbers, values, receipts and notes you enter
  • Photographs and documents you choose to attach
  • Reminder, widget and app-lock preferences
  • Backup or CSV files you choose to create or restore

Apple and external services

Kitlogue does not send app records to a developer server or third-party app service.

No advertising, behavioural analytics or tracking

Kitlogue does not sell personal information, create an advertising profile or include a third-party advertising or behavioural-analytics SDK.

02

Retention & deletion

How long information remains

  • Local records remain until you delete them, erase the app’s data or remove the app.
  • Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them until you delete those copies.
  • The developer does not receive or retain catalogue records, serial numbers, documents, photographs or backups.

Your controls

  • Delete items and attachments inside Kitlogue, or remove the app to delete its local container.
  • Delete exported backups and CSV files separately from the location where you saved them.
  • Withdraw camera, photo, Face ID or notification access in Apple Settings.
03

Permissions

A permission is requested only when you use the related feature. You can review or withdraw access in Apple Settings.

  • Camera and photos when you add equipment images
  • Files when you select documents or choose a backup/export location
  • Notifications for reminders you choose to create
  • Face ID for optional local app locking
04

Safety & limits

  • Values, warranty dates and loan records are personal organisational notes, not professional valuation, insurance, legal or financial advice.
05

Support

  • Allow camera or photo access only when you want to add an image.
  • Create and verify a backup before deleting or replacing a device.
  • Open Kitlogue to refresh its widget after large changes.

Contact & privacy rights

Responsible developer: Tom Wright, independent app developer. For help, privacy questions, access or deletion requests concerning support information, email tw.appfeedback@outlook.com.

If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments are received through Microsoft Outlook and used to respond, investigate faults, protect the apps and meet legal obligations. This processing is based on responding to your request and the developer’s legitimate interest in providing secure support. Support messages are kept only while needed for those purposes or a related legal issue, then deleted. Do not send passwords, full payment details, children’s full names, medical records or other sensitive documents.

Most app information is held only on your device or in your private Apple account, so the developer cannot retrieve it for you. Use the deletion and permission controls above. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of information held by the developer. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Policy date: 20 August 2026. This notice will be updated before an app begins any materially different collection, sharing or use.
