01

Privacy

Workshop records synchronise through the app’s private Apple CloudKit container when iCloud is enabled. Tom Wright does not operate a separate server and cannot view the contents of users’ private CloudKit records.

Information handled by the app

  • Filament, printer, project and print records
  • Photographs and model files you choose to attach
  • Inventory exports, backups, device and sync preferences

Apple and external services

  • Apple iCloud and CloudKit: Synchronises private app records between your signed-in devices. Apple processes this information under its privacy terms; the developer does not receive a readable copy through a separate server.
No advertising, behavioural analytics or tracking

Spool Harbour does not sell personal information, create an advertising profile or include a third-party advertising or behavioural-analytics SDK.

02

Retention & deletion

How long information remains

  • Device and private CloudKit records remain until you delete them through the app or your Apple iCloud controls.
  • Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them until you delete those copies.
  • The developer does not retain a separate database of workshop records, model files or photographs.

Your controls

  • Delete inventory and print records inside Spool Harbour so the deletions can synchronise to your devices.
  • Use Apple’s iCloud storage controls if you need to remove the app’s remaining private cloud data.
  • Delete exported files separately from the location where you saved them.
03

Permissions

A permission is requested only when you use the related feature. You can review or withdraw access in Apple Settings.

  • Camera for barcode, label or finished-print capture
  • Photos and Files for records you choose to attach or export
  • iCloud for private device synchronisation
04

Safety & limits

  • Material and printer records are organisational aids. Follow the filament manufacturer’s safety data and the printer manufacturer’s operating instructions.
05

Support

  • Use the same Apple Account and enable iCloud Drive on iPhone and Mac.
  • Allow time for the first large synchronisation to complete.
  • Export a backup before making major inventory changes.

Contact & privacy rights

Responsible developer: Tom Wright, independent app developer. For help, privacy questions, access or deletion requests concerning support information, email tw.appfeedback@outlook.com.

If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments are received through Microsoft Outlook and used to respond, investigate faults, protect the apps and meet legal obligations. This processing is based on responding to your request and the developer’s legitimate interest in providing secure support. Support messages are kept only while needed for those purposes or a related legal issue, then deleted. Do not send passwords, full payment details, children’s full names, medical records or other sensitive documents.

Most app information is held only on your device or in your private Apple account, so the developer cannot retrieve it for you. Use the deletion and permission controls above. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of information held by the developer. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Policy date: 20 August 2026. This notice will be updated before an app begins any materially different collection, sharing or use.
