Wayfaroo

Traveller profiles, journey choices, scores, checklists and preferences are stored locally. The optional nearby-activity feature uses your current location with Apple geocoding and Maps search, but Wayfaroo does not store exact coordinates or a route and the developer does not receive them.

Information handled by the app

• Traveller names or nicknames, age bands and journey choices stored locally
• Scores, checklists, preferences and progress stored locally
• Current location used temporarily for nearby towns and landmarks when you turn the feature on
• No account, advertising profile, analytics or tracking identifier

Apple and external services

• Apple Maps and geocoding: Processes a location request to return an area and nearby place names. Apple processes the request under its privacy terms; the developer does not receive the location.

How long information remains

• Profiles, preferences and journey records remain locally until you delete them, reset the app or remove the app.
• Wayfaroo does not persist the exact coordinates or route used for nearby activities.
• The developer does not retain traveller profiles, journey records or location requests.

Your controls

• Delete or reset local information in the app where available, or remove the app to delete its local container.
• Turn off Explore where you are or withdraw location access in Apple Settings; ordinary games remain available.

A permission is requested only when you use the related feature. You can review or withdraw access in Apple Settings.

• Location while using the app for optional nearby activities; the control is off by default
• A parent or guardian should decide whether to enable location when a child is using Wayfaroo
• The Watch app receives only the current passenger-game information needed for its companion controls

• A passenger must operate the app in a moving car. A driver must never look at or touch the device.
• Wayfaroo is not navigation, an ETA service, medical advice or a travel-safety checklist.

• Check Location access in Settings if a nearby feature is unavailable.
• Wayfaroo retains useful fallback behaviour when offline.
• Include the journey mode and traveller setup when reporting a problem, but do not send children’s full names or other sensitive details.

If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments are received through Microsoft Outlook and used to respond, investigate faults, protect the apps and meet legal obligations. This processing is based on responding to your request and the developer’s legitimate interest in providing secure support. Support messages are kept only while needed for those purposes or a related legal issue, then deleted. Do not send passwords, full payment details, children’s full names, medical records or other sensitive documents.

Most app information is held only on your device or in your private Apple account, so the developer cannot retrieve it for you. Use the deletion and permission controls above. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of information held by the developer. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
